Description .In conjunction with the CEO, participate in the design and lead the implementation of departmental strategy in line with IOC vision, mission and corporate objectives. .Ensure effective cascading of the departmental strategy into business plans to ensure vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing departmental strategies. .Manage the effective achievement of Financial Control departmental objectives through the leadership of the department by setting of individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal ” in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance. .Ensure the finance control department has the policies, processes, methodologies, structure and resources necessary to maintain and sustain its ability to deliver functional plans/ objectives in support of achieving the organizations annual financial performance objectives. .Direct and control the accounts receivables section ensuring billing and collection targets are met and sustained. .Direct and control the accounts payable section ensuring payments are made in an accurate and timely manner, in the best interests of the business whilst protecting the reputation of the company. .Direct and control the fixed assets section ensuring an accurate account and up to date fixed assets register, facilitating accurate and timely understanding of balance sheet income. .Direct and control the general accounting section generating financial statements that facilitate control against the agreed budgets and allows for corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner. .Oversee (internally and externally) the payment of all necessary Zakah/taxes, ensuring current and (known) future tax regulations are met, whilst focusing on tax optimization in the companys best interest.
Qualifications B.Sc. degree in Financial Accounting as a minimum. 10 - 15 years of experience with proven track record experience in a leading EPC Construction Company, with at least 5 years in positions of progressively increasing supervisory responsibilities. Professional Accounting qualification CMA/ICMA/CPA. Solid experience in negotiating contracts and insurance policies, reviewing invoices, and meeting with tax advisors and auditors. In-depth knowledge of statutory and internal financial management standards. In depth knowledge of accounting theory, financial control theory and philosophy. Thorough understanding of cash management theory and techniques. Knowledge of large enterprise resource planning systems.
