Description The Department of Biomedical Sciences at University of Science and Technology, Zewail City, has an opening for a full-time faculty position at an Assistant or Associate Professor level in the field of Biomedical Sciences ” Drug Design and Development Concentration, starting fall of 2015. The candidates will be expected to work with an interdisciplinary team of dedicated faculty members to develop and implement an innovative and integrative interdisciplinary Biomedical Science education curriculum. We invite candidates who have excellent record of teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students to teach lecture and laboratory in any of the following disciplines: — Drug Design and Computational Chemistry. — Pharmacology and Toxicology. — Drug Target Identification and Validation. — Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics. Successful candidates are expected to develop an extramurally funded research program and involve in collaborative research that involves undergraduate students. Candidates are expected to have strong track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and served as thesis advisor for graduate students. Service to the university and the community is expected.
Qualifications Ph.D. in Biology or a related field is required. Candidates at the level of Assistant Professor must have track record of peer-reviewed publications, and demonstrated excellent teaching and research at the graduate and undergraduate level. Candidates at the Associate Professor must have completed five years at the rank of Assistant Professor and demonstrated a proven track record of excellent teaching and
