Description — Learn to perform various journal entries, account reconciliations, and provide General Ledger support; Process month-end balancing and journal entries — Learn to assist in the General ledger analysis of accounts; Learn to reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis — Reconcile bank accounts and contact proper bank personnel to correct errors — Learn to process purchase orders and other miscellaneous tasks related to accounting — Learn to assist in processing accounts payable, receivables, etc. Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis. — Learn to prepare reconciliation of accounts with bank accounts — Learn to prepare accounting reports as requested; assist in the preparation of EFSA reports — Follow up on the settlement of policies
Qualifications •Minimum B.S Degree in Accounting, Finance a professional accounting certificate/license is a plus •experience in all aspects of accounting; Experience in the insurance industry is highly preferred •Knowledge in the laws and regulations governing the accounting, budgeting and auditing activities •Ability to assist in the preparation and processing of journal entries, general ledger analysis of accounts, creating timely and accurate financial statements •Ability to pay attention to details • Possess an analytical background and excellent math skills • Resourceful and controlled assertive behavior •Ability to carry out assignments to completion under strict supervision and within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted underwriting practices.•Verbal and communication skills; Able to express ideas clearly, concisely, and convincingly in both written and oral communications •Competency in the use of variety of computer software applications
