Description —Posts customer payments by recording cash and checks. —Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices. —Maintains records by microfilming invoices, debits, and credits. —Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service departments, and from customers. —Resolves invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures. —Update export department with daily customers deposits according to the forwarded deposit slips. —Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department. —Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report. —Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential. —Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. —Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications Accounting Degree. 3-5 years hands-on Accounting experience in trading company. Basic computer skills and word processing. Good mathematical background Some experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings
