Description Key Responsibilities —Produced accurate reporting and financial analysis in a timely manner, meeting monthly reporting deadlines, —Assist in preparation of detailed and realistic annual departmental budgets, —Consistently follow up with department managers on development of actual cost against departmental budgets, providing detailed explanation for budget deviations, —Ensure at all times that the foundation assets are covered with adequate insurance, —Assist in providing senior management with high quality financial information and analysis for decision-making support, —Oversee cash position, in addition to maintaining banks relations, —Supervise the preparation, recording control, monitoring, maintenance, and reconciliation of accounting transactions and provide overall management of the accounts of the foundation, —Ensure timely preparation of tax/statutory withholding returns in accordance with internal procedures and policies, —Evaluate and improve work processes to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability, —Supervise, train, and manage performance of accountant staff within the department and branches.
Qualifications Qualifications: •A university degree in accounting, English section preferred, •Five years of progressively more responsible general accounting and finance experience, •Experience in microfinance field, •General understanding of accounting principles and transactions, •A thorough knowledge and understanding of revenue and banking processes and procedures, •The ability to interpret applicable foundation policies and procedures, applying them consistently and without discrimination, •General knowledge of IFRS and EAS, •Fluent in English, •Fluency in report writing skills, •Proficiency in using Microsoft office.
