Description - Maintains system performance through monitoring, control and analyzing the IBMi system. - Assist in installation, configuration and maintenance of IBM iSeries hardware, software, networked devices, journaling, and IBM iAccess software. - Secures IBMi system by developing and Managing system and objects access control through authorization lists, System and application Audit journals to be complied with company security policy. - Design and implement daily and monthly Backups policies on BRMS as per the company backup policy. - Load and test operating system and application software releases and fixes in both development/test and productions environments. - Establishing and testing disaster recovery policy and procedures. - Reviewing security logs on regular basis to ensure the security policies not violated. - Reviewing backup logs on regular basis to ensure the sustainability of backup policies. - Provide all security and backup logs needed for Internal or external audit procedures. - Document and implement application specific security groups and classes. - Creating and updating check lists and documentations for backup policies, Ptfs installations, system upgrades, system security, applications access and disaster recovery plans. - Designing and implementing BRMS backup plans for Data, entire System and data archive.
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering is more preferable. - 4 to 5 years of experience supporting IBM AS400 systems with multiple logical partitions (LPARs). - Experience in AS400 Security Management & Communications, Operating System Upgrades and PTF deployment, Independent Auxiliary Storage Pools (iASPs), and Storage Based Replication. - Understanding of internal controls and change management processes. - Strong technical, analytical and debugging skills in solving technically challenging problems involving IBM iSeries based application and hardware issues. - Working knowledge of CL and RPG programming languages is preferred. - Problem solving, Communication and analytical skills.
