Description - To recommend network designs, changes and enhancements to improve operational system, resource availability and performance.
- To recommend the implementation of software or hardware changes and rectify any network deficiencies.
- To analyze facilities bandwidth requirements and system interdependencies.
- To develop capacity-planning models.
- To ensure planned testing activities are performed and the technical criteria are met. To asses network performance to ensure that it meets the present and future needs of the business.
- To provide network-planning recommendations to IT Director.
- To develop network security guidelines regarding firewall maintenance and rule setting, intrusion detection, filter creation and email scanning.
- To ensure appropriate encryption requirements are applied.
- To evaluate services provided by vendors and recommend changes.
Qualifications - BSc of Engineering - Information Technology - CCNA (cisco certified network associate)
