Description The Pomegranate Production Consultant will assist FAS Project technical staff in developing a Farm Field School training curriculum that spans the entire Pomegranate production, harvest and post-harvest cycle. The consultant will verify training needs through a series of field trips and Pomegranate value chain stakeholder workshops. Once gaps and training priorities are confirmed, the consultant will work with project staff to develop a Farm Field School training of trainers (ToT) curriculum that supports Pomegranate growers associations in obtaining Global G.A.P. certification. The detailed training plan will be integrated into the FAS Project Work Plan submitted to USAID.
 the deliverables of the assignment are as follows:
 Written report on results of training needs assessment;
 Field ToT Curriculum that includes:
 Clear description of training program outcomes - including but not limited to Global G.A.P. certification.
 Identification of core competencies that must be strengthened in order for outcomes to be achieved. When relevant, core competencies should be differentiated by levels of mastery to help show progression in development efforts.
 Detailed training session plans that address each core competency. A core competency may be addressed by multiple training sessions (i.e. nursery management, integrated pest management). Each training session description should include learning objectives, session schedule, necessary materials and a written description of each element of the ToT session.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Experience implementing training of trainers. Advance relevant degree Expertise related to Pomegranate production, harvest and post-harvest practices. Previous work experience in development project with small farmers is preferable. Experience developing training programs/curriculum
