Description The successful applicant will work in the biology laboratories of the biomedical science program. He/she will have to work with different equipment and chemicals to assist the laboratory manager and a disciplinary team of dedicated faculty members. The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities: — Preparing reagents, chemicals, slides and lab experiments. — Organizing the stock room — Reporting the state of laboratories frequent requirements (chemicals, reagents, consumable.. Etc.) — Reporting state of laboratory facilities and equipment — Assisting in laboratorial practical classes when required — Ensuring proper storage and disposal of chemical and/or biological materials in accordance with safety and compliance regulations
Qualifications • B.Sc. degree in biology or a related field • Good experience in at least one of the following: molecular biology, genetics, cell culture, histology, and microtome usage. • At least one year experience in laboratory equipment (i.e: PCR- electrophoresis – ELIZA – RPCR- inverted and florescent microscope) • Knowledge of laboratory safety issues
