Description Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor. Analyzing data collected and recording results Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports Making estimates of new and proposed product costs Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Maintaining Cost Accounting System Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger Conducts physical inventories and monitors
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 3 or more years of related experience Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves Strong organizational and communication skills Detail oriented Knowledge of JDE and ACS systems preferred Sanitary Ware industry background preferred Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
