Description a. Develop and in-depth understanding of the regions power markets and opportunities for utility-scale solar PV projects in the markets
b. Develop relationships with authorities, regulators and utilities
c. Identify and nurture relationships with local/regional developers, brokers, banks, contractors, etc. to identify project opportunities
d. Identify, screen and evaluate new business and project opportunities including:
i. Project specific financial models and investment memos
ii. Optimal technical solutions with technical teams
iii. Risk assessments related to the projects, including real estate risks, political risks, permitting and environmental risks, and financial risks and corresponding mitigation strategies
e. Negotiate with prospective partners and establish project development or acquisition agreements
f. Support the process of Project Finance preparation for the projects
g. Support the process of Execution preparation for the projects
f. Require travelling extensively
Qualifications - Bachelor degree in engineering is preferable - Experience Background: solar energy/ renewable energy sector - fluent in English language - French language is a plus
