Description Main purpose of job
The Export Specialist is responsible for processing shipments and all related activities for an assigned base of accounts. He must be proactive in providing quality customer service and have the ability to handle pressure and responsibility in a fast pace environment, in a timely and affective manner. The successful candidate must have good customer service skill and handle dual task. Being proactive in providing quality customer service is a must.
Main responsibilities
-Check the stocks for export according to the orders in the system.
-Check the L/C and confirm to proceed issuing the L/C.
-Generate the invoices according to the pro-forma invoice & Customer instructions.
-Check with the S/Lines for best service with good rates
-Arrange the booking and Following the loading date.
-Co-ordinate the issuance B/L adjusting the shipment mode, delivery and payment methods.
-Issuance B/L & certificate of origin (EUR 1& Comesa & Arabic COO & Form A & GSTP ) And amending them as per clients requests or L/C instructions.
-Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers
-Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
-Ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time
-Review all documentation and forms, maintain communication with clients, and review their export process on a regular basis.
Qualifications The job requires _ At least 2:3 years Proven experience in handling international markets _ Excellent analytical skills; _ Accuracy _ Good interpersonal skills; _Preferably who works for large firms _A university degree in Commerce, Science or related disciplines. -Knowledge of fertilizers is a plus -Fluent communication skills in English, additional languages would be a plus -MS-Office (Word, Excel. PowerPoint) and Database experience at user level. -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple short and long-term projects in order to meet deadlines”
