As a member of the AWS Support team you will be at the forefront of this transformational technology assisting a global list of companies that are taking advantage of a growing set of services and features.
We have a team of talented Support Engineers located in 8 countries around the world, and are growing rapidly.
We are seeking Support Engineers with a specialty in database technologies.
We will come to Egypt in March to hold last round interviews. This role is based in Dublin, Ireland.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong OS System Administrator skills, Linux or Windows
- Networking (Fluent in DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP, IP addressing)
- Strong DBA skills in one or more of the following: Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora, AWS Redshift
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Customer service experience / strong customer focus
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Self-starter who is excited about learning new technology

- Exposure to Virtualization (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor) & Cloud services on AWS or other vendors
- Prior working experience with AWS - any or all of EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS, DMS, Redshift, Aurora
- Exposure to security concepts / best practices
- Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
- Scripting Skills
