Job Purpose:
Responsible for Preparing and providing specifications for raw materials (plastic, polymers, metals, or chemicals) and submitting them to procurement and quality upon request in the event of multiple suppliers, adopting a new supplier, or local manufacturing with the aim of reducing the cost by studying the technical specifications of local and international plastic raw materials.
Job Responsibilities:
Develops both plastics and metal materials associated with the products to achieve the objectives of product development.
Doing a study on plastic polymers and metal material to improve the production process, unit costs, quality, and safety by replacing some raw materials or changing the proportions without prejudice to the specifications.
Records and analyzes current problems of plastics and metal related to products to determine appropriate solutions
Reviews and studies the results of the analysis for samples of both plastic materials and metal, preparing reports and providing solutions and suggestions resulting from the result.
Looking for alternatives for both plastic and metal material to achieve the quality of the products and the required specifications.
Follows up and performs the tasks of solving problems related to plastics and metal materials in cooperation with the concerned factories/departments to provide the necessary solutions through research, study, and experiments.
Works on continuous improvements and addresses problems related to plastics and metal materials to achieve the requirements of the required improvement process.
Monitors the recycling process of raw materials, prepares a technical report for each raw material, and follows up on their documentation and approval by the concerned authorities.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in science (chemistry) or Chemical Engineering.
0-2 years of experience are required.
Strong knowledge of physical and analytical chemistry.
Strong Knowledge of material (Plastic - Metal).
Good command of spoken and written English.
Very good at Microsoft Office programs.
