Senior Logistics Specialist
Job Purpose:
Oversee and optimize end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring seamless coordination of shipments, compliance with international trade regulations, and alignment with company policies. Analyze logistics performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices to meet internal and external stakeholder needs efficiently and effectively.
Job Description:
-Lead the planning and execution of complex shipments, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and product availability timelines.
-Monitor logistics-related financial data, including transportation expenses and inventory costs, to drive cost reduction initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
-Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to negotiate optimal pricing, terms, and service levels.
-Develop and implement strategies to enhance inventory management, storage optimization, and transportation processes.
-Analyze transportation metrics and identify trends to inform strategic decisions and improve delivery performance.
-Ensure compliance with international trade laws and company policies, maintaining accurate records of export transactions and documentation.
-Manage and resolve complex shipment and inventory issues, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely resolution.
-Coordinate transportation, delivery schedules, and order fulfillment to meet or exceed customer expectations.
-Prepare and review shipping documents, such as invoices, purchase orders, and bills of lading, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
-Implement and maintain technology-driven tools to provide real-time visibility and enhance logistics efficiency.
-Lead continuous improvement projects, driving innovation in logistics processes and adapting to industry trends.
-Provide mentorship and guidance to junior logistics team members, fostering professional growth and team collaboration.
-Oversee the development of subcontract terms and ensure alignment with company objectives and regulatory standards.
-Stay abreast of advancements in logistics and supply chain management, incorporating relevant best practices into daily operations.
Job Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field.
-3 to 5 years of experience
-Proven expertise in transportation management, inventory control, and international trade compliance.
-Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex logistics projects.
-Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and develop cost saving strategies.
-Advanced proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and other relevant tools.
-Knowledge of global trade regulations and best practices in supply chain management.
