Description Meet financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Formulate pricing policies. Ensure pricing is correct. Attend trade shows to identify new products and services. Coach, counsel, recruit, train, and discipline employees. Evaluate on-the-job performance. Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers. Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock. Keep up with fluctuating supply and demand. Analyze operating and financial statements for profitability ratios. Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the companys standards. Utilize information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning. Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met. Monitor local competitors. Ensure hours of operation are in compliance with local laws. Organize and distribute staff schedules. Preside over staff meetings. Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues.
Qualifications 1. A four-year BA degree with emphasis on business, sales or marketing is required. Equivalent work experience will be considered. 2. Previous Supervisory/Management experience required 3. Excellent selling skills, including strong negotiation, and closing ability, coupled with excellent people skills 4. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment 5. Bachelor’s degree required 6. Minimum two to three years sales experience with demonstrated success as a strong performer 7. Excellent written, verbal and communication skills 8. Must be able to provide constructive feedback in a positive fashion 9. Strong organization skills with an aptitude in analytical decision making 10. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
