As
Chief Officer, you are responsible for the navigation and manoeuvring
of the ship and for the activities on deck. In addition to
administrative tasks, you are also responsible for the safety equipment
on board. you help the Captain to manoeuvre the vessel and to operate
the crane (if applicable) during lifting and hoisting work. As Chief
Officer, you serve in the Captain’s absence. You are also responsible
for ballasting the ship to ensure that stability remains within the
legal limits, as well as for motivating and commanding the crew so that
they are aware of their responsibilities and able to carry them out to
the best of their ability.
• Chief Officer’s certificate;
• Valid medical certificate of fitness for maritime work;
• Basic Safety Training and Advanced Firefighting;
• Radar Navigator, Ship Management, Medical Training;
• Egyptian citizenship;
• Experience on board supply vessels and/or on heavy transport ships is a plus!
