Description Confer with engineers and consultants to discuss potential electrical projects in conformance with work schedules and departments regulations. Study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements. Design and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems in conformance with new technologies and specifications. Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and prepare budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costs. Coordinate with on-site engineers on progress of electrical design implementation, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and requirements. Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, and other data to insure that design and implementation adhere to specifications and regulations. Design tests to analyze and interpret test data and propose modifications and to qualify the final system or design. Prepare and review documentation, reports, drawings and presentations to monitor and record work progress.
Qualifications 7 - 10 years of experience in a related position. Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and leadership Skills. Problem solving and decision making abilities. Ability to work under pressure. Strong knowledge components and equipment. Knowledge of local electrical norms and standards
