Description — Communicating with customers outside the organization representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail. — Answer telephone calls from potential customers who have been solicited through advertisements. — Obtain names and telephone numbers of potential customers from different sources. — Telephone or write letters to respond to correspondence from customers or to follow up initial sales contacts. — Schedule appointments for sales representatives to meet with prospective customers or for customers to attend sales presentations. — Conduct client or market surveys in order to obtain information about potential customers. — Performing Administrative Activities day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Maintain records, reports, fill out business or government form.
Qualifications • Excellent communication skills, including a clear, confident speaking voice and a friendly rapport with customers. • Ability to be flexible and creative in dealing with customers. They must represent the company in a positive light at all times. • Persuasive and highly motivated to make sales. Since it is often necessary to establish a relationship with a client before a successful sale, must also be patient and persistent. • Ability to input sales data into a computer while on the telephone with a customer, so keyboarding skills are required.
