Description -To support British Council Finance operations in Egypt and contributes to ensuring and maintaining a high level of Finance Control and Compliance to financial policies & processes. Validate invoices, check documentation and compliance with procurement policy; validate vendors forms and follow up on rejections. Support POs creators and insure no purchase orders are open more than 30 days; liaise with payable team in HUB to process all invoices comply with the procurement policy. Follow up on Blocked Invoices and take the necessary actions to clear. Control the Down Payments process and clear outstanding balances with no delays. Maintain the vendors list up to date and block all unnecessary vendors. Follow up on old open items in vendors accounts and coordinate with HUB to clear. Carry out quarterly reconciliation for BC Top 10 vendors and report to FCCF. Check all payment vouchers, validate calculation, documentation and issue priority transfers on HSBC net. Handle all payments rejected by bank, follow up on the necessary corrections and re-process the payments on a timely manner. Park all processed payment vouchers on SAP accurately and in the same period. Park any necessary journal/accruals Check and post all Petty Cash transactions after validating with vouchers. Assist in Scanning Arabic/English language invoices to a shared drive/submit to overseas AP. Assist in Filing for the invoices in coordination with cashier. Follow up on open P card transactions and support staff to clear their accounts on SAP Carry out monthly and quarterly audit and communicate to the hub Maintain an up to date list of all TEX cards in country and keep the buffer clear on SAP Maintaining a log for received envelops.
Qualifications -Completion of 1st part of CMA, successful completion of part 2 of CMA with 18 months of appointment (funded by the British Council). -Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent.
