Description Reporting - Oversee and control the accounting operations company-wide, ensuring that financial and accounting information is prepared and consolidated in an accurate and timely manner. Provide key liaison with external and internal auditors, providing necessary support for them to operate effectively. Financial Planning and Analysis ” Manage the compiling and analyzing of the Company and SBUs long-term financial strategy; including the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and the monthly financial performance analysis process to provide management with valuable feedback and insights on performance and trends. Systems and Controls ” Develop effective standards, systems, controls, policies and procedures to international standard, ensuring the accounting operations and their reports are in strict compliance with International Accounting Standards/GAAP and future external reporting regulations as the company develops. Stay current on best practices in finance and establish them throughout the company. SBU Oversight ” Monitor the operation of SBU accounting units and their implementation of policies and procedures consistent with corporate financial policies. Mentor developing SBU controllers to ensure that SBU accounting units are effective, efficient and provide accurate and timely information for consolidation at a corporate level. Oracle/SAP System ” Provide training for staff on the Oracle/SAP financial package and play a key role on the implementation team as new SBUs go online and Procurement, Job Accounting and other modules are added. General Accounting - Provide direct accounting support for the headquarters operations, emerging projects and assigned SBUs. Financial Team Development ” Encourage the professional development of finance staff in corporate and SBU offices, including the pursuit of continuing education and certifications.
Qualifications University degree and professional certification in Accounting. • 10 or more years experience in Finance and Accounting function, with at least 5 years in a senior management position. • Strength in developing systems and controls in new/rapidly expanding enterprises •Proven management skills and leadership aptitude. •Knowledge of major financial systems and leadership of systems implantation projects, preferably Oracle/SAP financials •Flexibility, sense of humor, and a willingness to roll up shirt sleeves and assist in accounting activities.
