Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions related the international projects at West Africa ( Niger, Burkina , Mail , Senegal & Algeria ). Maintains and reconciles balance sheet accounts for all funds with assistance from accounting support personnel. Manages, coordinates and implements the year end closing processes and procedures for the assigned accounting records. Performs verification and reconciliation tasks for invoices/receipts/balances according to department checks and balances procedures. Provides information to financial auditors; conducts standard external audits of various accounting records. Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Supervises, trains and evaluates accounting professionals, and junior accountants Deal directly with the tax consultant in each country & Make sure that the internal transaction and system comply with the country tax and regulation. Understand the African labor law and make sure we are aligned with it. Manage the cash flow and avail the funds required for the operation from local ( West African )banks .
Qualifications Bachelor degree in accounting & financial reporting. 7-9 years of experience in accounting (preferably with experience in the West African). French Language is a MUST.
