Assists, plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with governmental rules and regulations. Evaluates overall workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations. Conduct accidents’ investigations to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future. Recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs. Inspects and test fire protection or fire detection systems to verify that such systems are installed in accordance with appropriate laws, codes, ordinances, regulations, and standards. Assists management in the annual inspection of workplaces to assure safe and healthful conditions for workers. Prepares appropriate notices for management to issue for abatement of any identified hazards. Reviews emergency action plans and fire exit plans (evacuation plans). Advises Public Safety director on safety compliance concerns and protective actions. Supports the Safety Management Information System (SMIS) by recording all accident reports in a timely, complete, and accurate manner. Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by Zewail City personnel and senior management. Orders suspension of activities that pose threats to workers health or safety. Provides promotional materials and develops and administers recognition systems to promote safe and healthful work performance by periodically delivering safety training and education programs and demonstrating the use of safety equipment. Recommends measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials. Develops and maintain hygiene programs. Investigates the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance.
Qualifications Public Safety — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national operations for the protection of people and properties. Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Fire fighting skills, presentation & training skills. Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming. flexible working hours will be required, including working after normal hours for periodical checks.
