Demonstrate knowledge and assist Physical Education Teachers in understanding the goals of the department’s curriculum. • Provides effective instructional strategies to all teachers in the department. • Monitors the effectiveness of the Physical Education sessions for all teachers in the department. • Evaluates the performance of all Physical Education Teachers. • To maintain good order and discipline among the pupils. • To be part of a whole school team, actively involved in decision-making on the preparation and development of policies and programmes and resources. • To ensure that school policies are reflected in daily practice. • To communicate with parents over all aspects of their children’s social and behavioural progress. • Promoting the capabilities of the Physical Education department. • Supervises students in and out-of-classroom activities during the school day; breaks and dismissal time. • Participates in developing the physical education programs as required. • Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional atmosphere in the session. • Evaluates students keeps,appropriate records, and prepares progress reports. • Identifies student needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems. • Provide adequate planning / equipment that allow all children to be active at the same time. • Planning after school clubs for activities. • Planning school wide activities such as field trips, fun days and morning exercise breaks. • Prepare a year-long program of learning experiences that link physical activities with issues related to health and well being. • Instruct students in the safety practices associated with different environments, including swimming pools, gymnasiums and playing fields
Qualifications Bachelors degree in a relevant area and/or previous years of experience.
