Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the accounting section activity is carried out in an efficient manner. Contribute to the preparation of the accounting section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified. Recommend improvements to policy and direct the implementation of instructions covering all areas of accounting activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Supervises the day-to-day operations of the accounting section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures. Follow up the collection of receivables. Review all AP( LC,LG) Transactions and be sure from AP aging report, AP trial balance, advances to vendor’s status and purchasing accruals report to be sure of compliance with the company’s policy and procedures. Supervise the taxation process. Supervise the preparation of the end of year accounts and business results and ensure that variances are identified with proper analysis to be sure of compliance with the GAAP. Provide all the needed data to both internal and external auditors, accurately and efficiently, in order to achieve clean audit report Maintain working capital balanced, through managing AR, AP, inventory process within the agreed standard and balance in order to mitigate both risk burden and interest. Ensure that all activities are monitored and regulatory compliance audits and inspections are conducted for an effective implementation of regulatory standards. Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate reports of accounting section to meet the company and department requirements, policies and standards.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting , Professional certificate “CMA, CFA” preferred 8-10 years relevant experience in accounting including at least 2 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities. Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles,(GAAP), (IFRS), local standards and tax laws. Knowledge of internal control systems and concepts. Ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision. Ability to interpret and keep current on policies, procedures and regulations affecting the profession. Knowledge of accounting systems, which includes system processes and data flow. PC proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet. High management skills and ability to lead teams and achieving goals.
