Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes. - Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. - Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements. - Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards. - Provide technical assistance to field personnel in the areas of high voltage distribution equipment and high voltage motors/generators - Respond and provide technical assistance to electrical equipment problems within the company-owned facilities - Direct and oversee vendor shop repairs on high voltage motors and equipment to ensure quality - Issue repair reports at the conclusion of critical jobs for proper historical documentation - Identify engineered resolutions to recurring electrical issues - Improve plant/equipment reliability through historical trending and improved maintenance procedures. - Lead and participate in Failure Analysis and Vulnerability studies. - Execute equipment maintenance strategies (predictive and preventive) - Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. - Insure compliance with federal and state regulations. - Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Qualifications BS Electrical Engineering Degree A minimum of 3-5 yrs electrical engineering experience in operations and maintenance of large industrial plants is required - Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities; - Strong communication skills and ability to deal tactfully and efficiently at all levels of the organization; - Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills; - Awareness of operational safety requirements in a manufacturing environment and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulatory bodies; - Strong desire to be a part of a start-up/high growth company with an entrepreneurial spirit and a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.
