Manage the effective achievement of Manufacturing Department objectives through the leadership of the team– setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and the performance of the department. Prepare and recommend the Manufacturing Department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon. Recommend improvements to Manufacturing Department policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Manufacturing activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Supervises the day-to-day operations of Manufacturing Department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures. Organise and supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the Manufacturing Department activity is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent) - MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from a business/aviation school (Recommended) - Any other certificates required
