Assists in creation of both internal and external financial statements; *Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements; *Produces payroll *Assists with annual external audit in preparation of schedules and completion of auditor requests; *Assists in preparation and maintenance of accounting department policy and procedures manual; Works as a team player to ensure that policies and standard procedures are followed and maintained; Ensures successful completion of assigned audit engagement; Obtains and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well documented; *Communicates assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality,accurate, and efficient results; *Executes effective and thorough application of all internal audit standards within assigned responsibility; *Ability to lead a small team and ensure successful results; Meets time constraints and client deadlines; *Becomes proficient at preparing financial statements using the firms software programs *prepares other reports, projects, and duties as assigned; *Knows and understands the reason behind the firms policies and procedures and posses technical knowledge sufficient to supervise staff and review work papers; *Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for external auditors; *Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements *Secures financial information by completing database backups
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (should have ALL!) - Bachelor of commerce, Grade: Good - 6 yrs of experience as an accountant. (max. 10 yrs) - Intermediate level in MS Excel - ERP experience. - Intermediate English level. An additional qualification: (should have ONE at least) - Bachelor of commerce, English section Grade: Good & Advanced English level. OR - Expert level in MS Excel. (array formulas, VBA, Power BI family) OR - Certified CMA, CPA or ACCA (or set for the exam) OR - Ex one of the big four accounting firms OR – Supervisory experience (minimum 3yrs) in a medium sized company in the food industry or FMCG.
