Description Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process Develop methods and procedures for scheduling of raw materials from suppliers Develop and maintain transportation system on domestic and international freight that ensures business needs are met. Create policies or procedures for logistics activities. Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements. Train shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies. Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records. Create, manage and achieve the overall logistics budgets. Ensure Company is in compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation and resolve any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution. Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met. Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
Qualifications Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to perform financial calculations and create and manage budgets. Master’s Degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics Management. 5+ years in logistics environment.
