• Managing the legal function of a company and overseeing outside legal counsel. • Providing management with effective legal advice on business issues and company strategies, selecting and overseeing the work of outside counsel, drafting and editing complex commercial agreements, ensuring the company operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and helping prepare briefs, complaints, motions and other court documents. • Review all legal documents, reviewing them to make sure they are effectively drafted and interpreted. • Applying the employment law and labor and benefit issues, drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements, such as joint venture agreements, government contracts and sales contracts, and providing litigation support. • Leading management of casework including sickness absence, making recommendations, giving support and advice to managers. • Preparing ad hoc and regular management reports supporting in improvement of management and monitoring performance management and sickness absence systems. • Supervising and authorizing the preparation and delivery of appropriate contractual documents regarding terminations, appointments ad employment variations.
Qualifications Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion, integrity and ethics and business acumen. Excellent legal and communications skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
