Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting companys computer systems. Designs and installs LAN, WAN, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Install and support LAN, WAN, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems. •Install and maintain network hardware and software. •Analyze and isolate issues. •Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users. •Evaluate and modify systems performance. •Identify user needs. •Determine network and system requirements. •Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security. •Ensure network connectivity throughout companys LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations. •Design and deploy networks. •Perform network address assignment. •Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration. •Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services. •Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers. •Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPNgateways, and intrusion detection systems. •Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smart phones, software deployment, security updates and patches. •Plan and implement network security, including building firewalls, managing host security, and implement preventive measures, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, and adding, deleting users. •Troubleshoot internet connections and WAN communication between Head Office and Branches. •Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability. •Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network. •Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience in same position.
