•Realize six-sigma quality product design, through: -Thorough design analysis and margin management -Design for manufacturing -Design is driven by standard manufacturing processes -Employ early simulation and modelling to ensure success on first time operation •Assumes all the tasks listed for Draftsman and capable of independently develop a product from inception to actual marketable product. •Design high quality and high accuracy heavy & heavy-duty electro-mechanical machines •Support product design with adequate engineering and scientific analysis that would include and not limited to: -Structure and stress analysis and calculations -Creative solutions to mechanical motion transfer and transformation -Dynamic stress analysis -Design Pneumatic and hydraulic systems -Develop system designs: block diagrams, function flow •Work with Electrical Engineers and Material Scientists to optimize and integrate design •Develop product from readily available raw material •Perform all engineering duties detailed in companys Quality Engineering.
Qualifications •University degree in mechanical engineering •Minimum 5 years of experience as •mechanical designer of factory machines •Experience in structural or material strength calculations •Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems •Good skills in AutoCAD •Preferably good skills also in 3D CAD software; Solid Edge and/ or Inventor •Good skills in MS Office; especially MS Excel and Word •Knowledge and good attitude to QA/QC systems (ISO 9000) •Good communication skills •Fluent in English language. Able to write own professional reports in English •Able to compile machine manuals •Knowledge of preventative maintenance will be advantageous
