Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process. Their objective is to plan, design, set up, modify, optimize and monitor manufacturing processes. They are involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. •Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers. •Develop innovative solutions •Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards. •Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process. •Ensure projects are completed on time. •Ensure financial budgets are followed. •Research and purchase new manufacturing technology •Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification •Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data •Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes •Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output •Provide process documentation and operating instructions •Plan, implement, and control a production schedule •manage human and material resources to meet production targets •make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement •work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations •ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures •set and monitor product quality standards •implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives •analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems prepare and maintain production reports
Qualifications •Proven working experience in engineering •Excellent technical skills •Knowledge of process related standards •Experience in process simulations •Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills •planning and organizing skills; •ability to act decisively; •capacity to grasp concepts easily; •problem-solving capabilities; •attention to detail; •ability to communicate clearly and persuasively; •excellent time management; •ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; •ability to motivate others; •ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
