Job Level Managerial
• Manages the accounting staff team engaged in maintaining financial accounts and records within line of department’s agreed policies, procedures and objectives. • Oversees general application of all relevant accounting policies in accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, invoices, assets ledger and general ledger, assists with accounting issues relating to payroll and maintains the balance sheet. • Supervises preparation of cash flow statements, income and expenditure accounts and tax returns and reconciles cash and balance sheet accounts. • Analyzes and reviews the work performed by the accountants for consistent and accurate financial statement reporting. • Develops short and long range operational and capital budgets which are supported by long and short range plans and objectives. • Prepares budget variance analyses and recommends budget modifications as required. • Maintains revenue and expenditures accounts into a spreadsheet or database and supervises posting operations and data entry. • Establishes and maintains costing models for the company and assists in preparing accounting statistical reports and schedules. • Ensures that accounting controls are applied to balance sheets, fund accounts, and special accounts according to generally accepted accounting principles. • Oversees preparation of hand written checks for invoices and special payroll situations. • Prepares financial accounts reports relevant to status of expenditures in relation to budget. • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. • Advises the finance manager on all matters concerning the general fund, revenue account and accounting procedures. • Analyzes accounting control procedures and recommends changes or modifications consistent with existing company reporting standards, policies and procedures
Qualifications Education, Skills, Experience required: • Bachelors degree in accounting. • From 10 to 15 years in the same field. • Significant experience in financial accounting monitoring, budgetary systems and controls with strong analytical and mathematical skills. • Excellent computer skills. • Excellent English, verbal / written communication. • Ability to work well through others. • Leadership skills. • Communication Skills. • Negotiation and Coaching Skills
