Role Summary: The incumbent will perform processing activities for all corporate and retail lending transacted by the branch and provide investigative, analytical, operational, administrative support to Corporate and Retail Banking in line with QNB policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
Role Description:
Responsible for the preparation/processing of any Loans related transactions ensuring the necessary procedures are complied with:
Timely review all corporate loan proposals, in accordance with set procedures for receiving, processing, checking and filing loans documentation.
Support the Manager Credit Operations in critically preparing/reviewing all credit documents, ensuring all necessary stages have been adhered to and calculations have been made correctly with regards to loan draw-downs, rollovers, repayments, interest rate fixing, fees collection and payment scheduling, red flagging any deficiencies for correction or rejection.
Timely maintenance and administrative control of the processed Loan custodial documentation and its secure storage.
Liaison with Corporate and Retail Banking Departments for the receipt of all necessary loan documentation and as necessary work with the teams to resolve any documentation issues/ deficiencies, compliance issues, and Risk mitigations.
Respond to enquiries on loan status and reply to balance verification requests from, internal/ external accountants and auditors.
Prepare, check, administrate as required the settlement and disbursement of corporate and Retail loans.
Prepare and process Islamic Finance documentation in line with the bank procedures ensuring that all documentation is Sharia compliant.
Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customers' needs.
Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with the all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/ objectives.
Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required.
Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
Assist in review of loan documentation for mixed portfolio of bilateral and syndicated loans including, operational elements, adherence to credit and business committee conditions, term sheets and the banks standards for such documents.
Providing daily support to Client Relationship/Transaction Managers.
Loan closing
Review approvals for loan transaction.
Establishment and maintenance of lending limits to ensure correctly recorded in the banks system.
Assist front office groups in the management and maintenance of the bank’s loan portfolio.
Qualifictions:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related field
Sound experience and background in the banking industry with special emphasis in corporate and retail loan processing.
Proficient knowledge of Misys Equation preferred.
Experience of Islamic Financing
Excellent keyboard and data input skills An understanding of Trade Finance processes preferred
