Description - Determines Needs: determine that the facility has the machinery, components and supplies needed to efficiently and safely operate. Review any engineering changes that impact material or supplier, to adjust stocks accordingly.
- Chooses Suppliers: choose the appropriate suppliers to purchase from. Conduct extensive industry research, meet with salespeople and compares their products and prices.
- Negotiates Prices and Award Contracts: After selecting vendors, negotiate sales agreements to purchase the required products. Then award contracts to the vendors, and continue to administer these contracts throughout the relationship.
- Manages Suppliers: Managing supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness. Periodically review suppliers, and launch improvement programs where required. Thinking of ways to eliminate waste and variability in the supply chain.
- Monitor all purchase orders: and maintain regular follow up with all suppliers and customers and coordinate with vendors and place requests for all prices and monitor all bidding activities and recommend efficient source for corporate staff.
- Monitor all control costs of purchase materials: and ensure achievement of all targets and perform tests on markets and collaborate with engineering and sales team and design resolutions for various supplier issues.
Qualifications - Proven Work Experience from 2-5 years in a procurement and operations. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Proficiency with personal computers and networking, specifically Microsoft Excel. - Engineering background is preferable . - Fluent in written and spoken English. - Bachelor degree in relevant discipline.
