Logistics Specialist
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Coordinate all aspects of shipment transportation.
Ensure all shipments are delivered within the required time range.
Communicate with Shipping Companies’ hubs to determine delivery costs and delivery timeframes, and provide appropriate documentation of deliveries.
· Responsible for the day-to-day management of the logistics function, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely management of carriage.
· Ensure the integrity of import documentation such as Bills of lading, Commercial invoices, and packing lists.
· Prepare and maintain a delivery schedule and communicate with all relevant departments.
· Follow up on the transfers for the external suppliers
· Record the arrival material into the system and create codes for new products.
· Follow up on inventory balance and coordinate with warehouses for the arrival of new shipments.
· Follow up on outstanding payments regularly and ensure invoices are sent on time to clients, also reporting late payments to clients in order to avoid any late settlement of invoices.
Establish and maintain relationships with shipping vendors, obtain and compare quotes from several vendors, compare quotes with the cost of using in-house resources, and determine safe, and economical methods for property movement.
qualifications:
Experience:
From 1 to 3 years of experience.
Language Proficiency :
Fluent in English verbal and written
