Curenta is seeking an experienced AR Accountant to join our finance team. As an AR Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process and ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve payment issues, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the overall financial health of the company.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Pacific Time Zone
Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, cash application, and collection of outstanding payments
Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments, and initiate appropriate follow-up actions
Communicate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies, billing inquiries, and payment disputes in a timely and professional manner
Collaborate with the collection team to improve the collections process, reduce DSO, and maintain positive customer relationships
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate and resolve any variances or discrepancies
Ensure accurate and timely recording of accounts receivable transactions in the financial system
Generate and analyze reports related to accounts receivable, aging, and cash flow
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience as an AR Accountant or in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Familiarity with financial systems and ability to quickly learn new software
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
