Job Title: Chief Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
- Monitor cash flow, banking operations, and financial transactions.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Lead and mentor accounting team members, ensuring professional development and high performance.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data and ensure secure financial record-keeping.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification preferred).
- Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or in a similar senior accounting role from 5 to 7 years.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
