Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing cost reports, and providing insights to help drive our company’s strategic goals. You will play a crucial role in budget planning, cost management, and financial reporting.


**Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis: Analyze costs and prepare reports on financial performance for products and services. Identify discrepancies and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budget and suggest corrective actions where necessary.
Expense Tracking: Review and monitor company expenses to ensure they align with budgeted amounts.
Costing Methods: Develop and implement cost accounting methods, and maintain standard costs for products.
Inventory Valuation: Conduct periodic inventory counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Calculate and analyze inventory turn rates.
Reporting: Prepare accurate cost reports and financial statements. Present findings to management and suggest improvements based on data analysis.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Assist with audits as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as operations and sales to ensure a cohesive approach to cost management.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial processes.

** Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in cost accounting or financial analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
