Head of Cyber Security
Job Description:
1. Develop and implement a robust cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry standards.
2. Define cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the organization’s infrastructure is secure.
3. Advise senior management on risk management and mitigation strategies.
4. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security gaps and threats.
5. Develop and manage the organization’s incident response plan, ensuring quick and effective mitigation of security incidents.
6. Lead and coordinate the response to cybersecurity breaches and work to prevent future incidents.
7. Establish a crisis management strategy for handling security-related incidents.
8. Lead, mentor, and manage the cybersecurity team, providing guidance and training.
9. Define roles and responsibilities within the cybersecurity team and ensure adequate staffing levels.
10. Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
Technology and Tools Management:
11. Oversee the selection, deployment, and maintenance of cybersecurity tools and technologies.
12. Work with IT and engineering teams to ensure secure system architecture and secure software development practices.
13. Prepare and present regular security reports to the executive leadership and board, detailing risks, incidents, and strategies.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.; MBA is a plus.
- 10 to 12 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, and data protection laws.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
