Description Roles & Responsibilities: 1.Install, configure, and maintain the database server, and associated application tools 2.Ensure suitable allocation of system storage and plan for future storage requirements for the database system 3.Assist application/report development teams in creating and modifying primary database storage structures (tables) and primary objects (indexes, tables, views etc), or retrieving information from the database for reporting or application integration purposes. 4.Perform bulk database updates or data retrieval as required by project teams or 3rd party vendors (with approval from IT Director). 5.Maintain database users and ensure system security, updating access rights and resetting account access details as required. 6.Identify and implement opportunities to improve database performance. 7.Control and monitor user (including application) database access. 8.Liaise with database vendor for additional complex database technical support as required. 9.Report on database health, capacity, activity and performance of database as required. 10.Plan, communicate and implement database backup, recovery, and archiving procedures and activities.
Qualifications Required Experience BS Degree in computer science. 3-5 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices 3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server experience · Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments · Experience with data management and data processing flow-charting techniques · Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices · Technical documentation skills Required Skills · SQL Server 2005, 2008R2. · Database Administration · Database Tuning · Database Management · SQL Database Clustering · MS Dynamics AX, CRM and Linked Oracle Services. · Database Security · RDBMS
