Description A production engineer designs processes, material and work space layouts to ensure fast and efficient production line. He can do this using drafting tools and design software such as computer aided design. It is also his responsibility to make appropriate adjustments on the design based on feedback from colleagues or customers. 1-Designing new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones 2-working with other engineers, such as mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, to ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to the finished result; 3-Design, devising efficient means to produce parts or products, supporting quality control and conferring with management to stay on budget and meet production deadlines 4-examining and tendering for new equipment to ensure the highest quality at the best price; 5-supervising junior engineers and sub-contractors and ensuring effective communication in order to avoid errors; 6-organizing plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time and profits; 7-liaising with the research and development department to ensure the company is at the forefront of ground-breaking research; 8-keeping up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry, at a national and international level;
Qualifications Bachelors degree in industrial, electrical, civil engineering 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset Proficiency in English language Proficiency in computer skills Effective Communication Negotiation Innovation Follow-up
