Description We are inviting applications from both very experienced, high level marketing professionals and young dynamic graduates who are in the early stages of their careers. Entrepreneurs and innovators who have founded small agencies and start-up digital media companies are especially encouraged to get in touch. Experienced Egyptian or Expat marketing and creative industry professionals who are not able to commit to a full time job would also be of special interest to us. The British Council will employ freelancers to work alongside our full time team and the Egyptian and international marketing agencies we use, to add specialist skills and contacts with partners that will enhance our campaigns. You may be embedded within our office, work from home or regularly visit the agencies and clients we work with, depending on the requirements of the role we assign you. Typical assignments will involve working with us for perhaps one week per month over the period of a year or working with us intensively for a one to three month period. Rates of pay will be competitive and commensurate with experience and the responsibilities you are given.
Qualifications The roles we are looking for are as follows, although we are interested in hearing from marketers and creative industry professionals from every area: •Experienced Creative Directors •Graphic designers and illustrators •Video story-boarders, directors and post production specialists •Campaign Planners •Digital media buyers with credible agency experience •Media partnership and corporate sponsorship managers •Market researchers (with a strong preference for qualitative) •Data management and electronic direct mail managers •Teachers with a strong interest in social media content production (blogs and videos) Joining our freelance consultants’ roster does not guarantee an assignment, however it may require an immediate start.
