Description You ensure everything falls in place and is executed in order. As a software Process Improvement Analyst you do process planning and definition activities, you participate in laying down process improvement culture, and you audit teams activities to ensure compliance. Additionally, you do periodic Process and Life cycle mining to understand the environment dynamics and how things work; then, introduce tailoring activities to straighten up work. Responsibilities: - Define different sets of software related process. - Deploy SPI practices. - Research and propose quality and process improvements tools. - Devise a complete strategic plan for taking the company from undefined process to a process mature setting. - Plan process certification endeavors and handle communications with certifying bodies. - Bring awareness of SPI to culture and establish SPEG within company. - Gather information on how teams work from Team Leads and Subject Matter Experts. - Document process definition and process activities. - Research and institutionalize SPI related tools for software development. - Define necessary templates and reporting. - Audit departments for compliance to deployed processes and fill compliance reports.
Qualifications Candidate Profile: - Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Process Improvement related position. - Full understanding of Software Development Life Cycle. - Knowledge of different software quality frameworks, such as: ISO and CMMi. - Demonstrated knowledge of SPI Best Practices. - High analytical skills. - Strong oral communications. - Excellent interpersonal skills in order to efficiently audit processes and gather information from subject matter experts. - Top notch documentation and technical writing skills. Preferred Experience: - Agile Development Methodology. - Project Management principles. - Awareness of different quality improvement processes and tools. - Knowledge of different charting tools, e.g. Visio and MS Project.
