Description Reinsurance specialist has responsibility for all aspects of the reinsurance negotiations process including: Soliciting and analyzing reinsurance bids Negotiating issues with reinsurers Drafting reinsurance agreements and other ancillary documents Documenting reinsurance rules and procedures and compliance with corporate policies related to reinsurance. This position will require the associate to think through and analyze problems. The associate should possess strong written communication and analytical skills. In addition, this position requires the candidate to develop relationships with many internal and external partners. It is important that the candidate has strong interpersonal skills.
Qualifications B.A./B.S. required preferably in accounting, business, finance, mathematics, or related field Strong technical and analytical skills Careful attention to detail Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to build and maintain working relationships with individuals of all levels from other departments and with external reinsurers Firm working knowledge of MS Excel and Word 7 years relevant experience in insurance. Previous nonlife insurance and reinsurance experience a must
