Description Key responsibilities: Jumias General Merchandise department is responsible for the selection and sourcing of all non-fashion products sold through our website. Our CCO will be responsible for: - Setting the commercial strategy of the General Merchandise department (sales targets, target categories/segments to unlock, target key suppliers, target number of suppliers to onboard .. etc) - Managing a team of 40 people in charge of vendor acquisition, vendor management, sourcing operations and content management. - Scaling the team and processes to support the growth of the company - Recruiting adequate profiles to join the team - Meeting key vendors and suppliers to negotiate partnerships, contracts and service level agreements. - Ensuring regular and quality reporting of team actions and results
Qualifications - Experience in managing commercial teams or large projects (8+ years of experience) - Strong entrepreneurial skills - Strong leadership - Strong drive - Ability to identify new business opportunities - Impeccable communication skills - Impeccable analytical skills - Ability to negotiate in flawless English - Ability to work independently and in a team - Capacity to challenge and improve processes - Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and competitive environment - Bsc. Degree (Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance) - Advanced degree preferred but not required
