Description 1.Prepare accounting transaction reports (vouchers) pertinent to the Regional Office and ensure that supporting documents and other requirements are complete; follow-up with relevant staff as necessary; 2. Perform settlements of the travel expense claims for all Regional Office staff; coordinate with respective staff member to verify the accuracy and ensure completion of the claim and supporting documents; 3. Verify invoices and ascertain that the equipment, supplies or services they refer to were duly received or provided before proceeding with payment request; 4.Assist in maintaining the Regional Offices accounts, including entering of payments, receipts and non-cash vouchers in the accounting system; ensure integrity of all data posted in PRISM; 5. Follow up on maintaining the Regional Office asset inventory; 6. On a monthly basis, assist in the month-end closure of accounts and production of financial reports for submission to relevant units; 7. Assist in the preparation of reports and other relevant documentation for the region to the relevant HQs Departments and and/or Administrative Centres, as appropriate; 8.Assist in the preparation of the budget performance reports; analyse variances between approved budgets and actual expenditures and bring to the attention of the supervisor any material discrepancies; 9. Prepare correspondence and answer queries with respect to enquiries related to financial matters. 10.Communicate and work closely with other units and provide guidance on financial policies and procedures; 11.Bring to the attention of the SRRMO any relevant financial issue and propose corrective actions; 12.Provide general support to the team in the absence of other colleagues in the Unit
Qualifications • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; • 5 years of professional experience; • High level of computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook) in particular experience in computerized accounting systems including SAP application. • Candidate should be highly motivated, with dynamic personality and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
