Description — Assists project manager in managing projects using engineering principles and techniques. — Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. — Planning and designing new production processes. — Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles. — Supervise site staff and assure the timely and economically execution of the project. — Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design. — Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints. — Working with other professionals, within and outside the engineering sector. — Monitoring and commissioning plant and systems. — Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. — Research proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. — Submits progress reports; on weekly and monthly basis, including project schedules.
