Description determining sales function strategy and targets based on the sales plan within an allocated channel. The jobholder will support the development of pricing strategy in conjunction with other internal departments including Marketing and Production. Jobholders are responsible for the management and utilisation of significant resources and are accountable for the overall performance of the entire sales team including the roll up of sales team targets. Management Role: Provides leadership, expertise and professional advice to the Sales & Marketing Manager (country manager) on channel sales matters to ensure business objectives are supported with the right sales strategy. Team Development: Conducts planned training & coaching sessions for different levels of the MS&D division. Co-owner of the MS&D personnel development and succession planning. Assist in the hiring of new sales force personnel. Strategies Plans & Budgets: Develops and gains agreement to MS&D strategies, plans and budgets to support the implementation and realisation of agreed corporate objectives. Owns the implementation of these strategies with the help of fellow managers. Team Capability: Help to Build, lead and develop a highly motivated, achievement oriented sales team and supporting networks capable of meeting, or exceeding, demanding targets objectives. Support: Provides high level direct sales support to team leaders and sales staff in order to create win-win business situations. Develops new systems and processes to ensure a structured business flow. Maintains a presence in the field to follow up on implementation. Highlights strong performers & identifies areas of improvement.
Qualifications A minimum of 8 years stretching experience in a recognized FMCG enterprise environment with a proven track record at the managerial level Strong customer focus. Achievement oriented. Decisive. Integrity. Negotiating skills. Analytical and presentation skills. Market knowledge. Initiative. Information seeking. Strong sense of teamwork and excellent people development and motivational capability.
